Data Transparency

Finance has always been chartered with delivering complete and accurate financial information. However, as it continues its evolution into a strategic partner, this charter is changing. What is now needed is consistent and integrated strategic, financial and operational information to support decision-making. When they aren’t consistent, they represent planning risks.

Planning risks are the key assumptions that comprise an organization’s plan. Integration reveals disconnects between multiple and often fragmented planning and measurement systems, thereby making these issues / risks obvious. Data transparency is achieved when organizations are able to readily measure such risks.

The challenge for finance is to create a single version of the truth that meets this definition of transparency. To achieve this, they need to define a business intelligence (BI) strategy that enables organizations to:
  • Leverage existing BI investments
  • Reconcile differences between BI systems
  • Maintain accurate and accessible data in periods of rapid change
  • Effectively delegate accountability for maintaining accurate data and planning risk

Our Dynamic BI service is specifically geared to help finance organizations address this challenge.
