The vast majority of Canadian organizations still rely on spreadsheets as their primary tool for business analytics, which may leave them at a competitive disadvantage. This is one of the major findings of a new study by CFERF, the research foundation of FEI Canada, and sponsored by SAP Canada Inc.

According to the study, 79% of executives feel their current financial reporting and analytics tools only somewhat meet their business’s needs and 65% of businesses do not use or have no access to real-time reporting tools.

Using separate Excel files for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis can result in disparate data sets and inconsistent reporting. Modern businesses need to run Simple and Run Live.

Join SAP and Column5 to discuss how world-class companies are facing new and industry changing competitors with tools that help businesses want to adapt, seamlessly respond and predict in the moment.

We will be joined by Co-operators, a Canadian insurance company, as they share their experience as a finance organization in a new paradigm, where cycle times must dramatically change or vanish, insight and action must happen live, continuous compliance is reality, planning is ongoing, predictions and simulations become the norm.
