EPM Add-in and Admin 10/10.1 on a Tablet?

Written by Charles Dagaev | Tue, Oct 06, 2015 @ 16:10 PM

A key component of an effective reporting strategy is the ability to get data to users when, where, and how they need it to make better decisions. For many users in today’s technology-driven world, that means mobile devices are a critical part of the overall reporting strategy.

Column5 has had requests from many clients over the last few years to have the functionality of the EPM (BPC) product on a tablet for executives and other internal resources. SAP has answered this request a number of ways. Currently, both Android and Apple mobile apps with limited functionality for use with the EPM product on NetWeaver are available, and an app for the Microsoft products should be released shortly. This is a great option for clients who require some mobile functionality in the EPM suite.

However, Column5 has implemented and tested solutions, both internally and at customers, which allow usage of the EPM client software on Android, Surface, and Apple devices with FULL functionality! Yes, that’s correct. We can implement a solution to allow full access to the functionality of the EPM software on mobile devices to include touch functions.

Microsoft Surface

We can implement the EPM Add-in and Admin Modules on a Surface Pro and use most functions with the touch screen. Some features of the EPM Add-in and Admin modules will require a mouse to use correctly.

Apple iPad/iPhone

When configured in your system, you can use ALL functionality in both the EPM Add-in and Admin modules with the touch features on Apple devices. While this does technically work on an iPhone, users may feel the screen surface is too small for all functions.

Android

When configured in your system, you can use ALL functionality in both the EPM Add-in and Admin modules with the touch features.

If mobile functionality is something you think your users could benefit from, please reach out to our team. You can reach our sales department by emailing: info@column5.com.
