In the recent weeks, we have helped several Extended Support customers with an issue regarding SAP BPC v10 Microsoft Service Pack 24 (SP24).

Problem

If you install BPC 10 Microsoft SP24 you cannot run the admin module, and instead receive the following error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'BPCTaskSecurity, Version=7.0.101.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=bf6c37fa78f5a648' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)"

Solution

The current workaround is to uninstall SP24 and reinstall SP23. While this sounds like like a very large undertaking, it can be done in under an hour or two.  Please contact Technical Services for any help you may need with this process..

Alternatively, you can wait for SAP to release another service pack, which they should shortly. Please check back here for additional information as it becomes available.
